What is ASUO Student Legal Services?
ASUO Student Legal Services is an ASUO incidental fee-funded program offering legal assistance exclusively to UO students. Professional services are provided to incidental fee-paying UO students by experienced legal professionals including Oregon licensed attorneys and a legal assistant.

To make an appointment use our Contact Form anytime, call the office at (541) 346-4273 during regular business hours (leave a message after hours), or stop by our reception desk in Rm 337 EMU during regular business hours. Remote and in-person appointments are available.

Our services are FREE at the point of service to all currently registered incidental fee-paying UO students.
However, you will be responsible for any special costs such as court filing fees, process servers, police incident reports, etc. We always discuss any special costs with you before they are incurred.
Like any law office, we take client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege very seriously. We follow the Oregon State Bar Rules of Professional Conduct including those governing conflicts of interest and protecting the confidentiality of communications shared with attorneys and staff.
Notary services are free of charge and available most most weekdays | 10 AM - 1 PM. We recommend that you contact the office in advance to schedule an appointment, and bring a government-issue photo ID to your appointment.
ASUO Student Legal Services provides legal advice and assistance to UO Students. We offer legal consultation in the following areas:
If you’re not sure we can help with your issue, contact us anyway. Even if we can’t help, we can usually refer you to other resources.
If your problem involves a dispute with another UO student, the ASUO or any of its officers, agent or employees, the University, the Board or the State of Oregon or any of its officers, agents or employees including a professor, instructor or other employee or representative of the University, we cannot provide legal help.
